Tier-II
Exam Registration (CQS)

Requirement
  1. Must be a member of a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
  2. At least 1 year of work experience in the country under supervision with LJBM registered Quantity Surveying Consultancy firm and public agencies except for educational institutions or;
  3. A Professional Quantity Surveyor Member under the Academic Route working with at least 2 years of work experience in the country under supervision with LJBM registered Quantity Surveying Consultancy firm and public agencies.

Qualifications
  1. Qualified PVQS need to be registered with the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) as Graduates within 6 months of registration period or before.
  2. Candidate must completed these 2 items listed below to register as PQS:
    • Part I - Record a work diary and log book for 2 years of professional training supervised by Internal Supervisor or 3 years of professional training supervised by External Supervisor. 
    • Part II - Analysis of Critical Report and Professional Interview.

Important Element of APC
  1. Professional training, experience and professional development - minimum of 208 days within 12 months. Candidate must be supervised by a supervisor continuously for 6 months of working.
  2. Record of professional training and experience according to the right format, together with monthly summary in the APC Work Diary and Log Book.
  3. Candidate must completed a minimum period of professional training for 2 years (416 days) of supervised by Internal Supervisor or 3 years (624 days) if supervised by External Supervisor.
  4. Annual supervised meetings.
  5. Acknowledgement of efficiency from supervisor, with reference of new training plan if needed.

Requirement

APC Work Diary and Log book can be downloaded from BQSM official website. Page format needs to be set in A4 size per page for the purpose of information filing by the candidates.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be a PVQS with experience at least 5 years in related industry.
  • Candidate must have a year of local working experience supervised by Internal Supervisor or 2 years of local working experience supervised by External Supervisor (directly or indirectly) after registering as PVQS.
  • Candidate must completed and exceed one of the registration conditions as a PQS.
  • Candidate must register with BQSM and RISM.
  • Prepare an analysis of critical report (CA) and pass the professional interview.
  • Submit APC application.

  • Candidate must be a PVQS with experience at least 5 years in related industry.
  • Candidate must have a year of local working experience supervised by Internal Supervisor or 2 years of local working experience supervised by External Supervisor (directly or indirectly) after registering as PVQS.
  • Candidate must completed and exceed one of the registration conditions as a PQS.
  • Candidate must register with BQSM and RISM.
  • Prepare an analysis of critical report (CA) and pass the professional interview.
  • Submit APC application.

Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a degree certificate that is recognized by BQSM and master’s degree certificate related to materials or construction surveyor.
  • Work full-time as faculty member in a registered university and offer a Quantity Surveyor degree or diploma or both. These programmes must be recognised by BQSM.
  • Teach/Tutoring at least 2 QS core subjects or 1 QS core subject together with 2 other subjects related to QS.
  • For each subject that is being taught, candidate must provide the syllabus, lectures programme, content of lectures, examination reference, assignments and the number of students involved.
  • The related subjects are:

  • Must have at least 3 years of academic experience that is recognized and have teaching experience upon completing degree certificate.
  • Supervised by Internal Supervisor for 1 year or External Supervisor (directly or indirectly) for 2 years.
  • Prepare analysis of critical report (CA).
  • Candidate must completed one of the conditions given to register as PQS.
